Beef & Brews – Fundraiser Event for the Olympics of Meat

ALTOONA, PA, May 14, 2024 – In preparation for The World Butchers Challenge taking place in Paris, France, Butchers of America will be hosting a practice event at Blair County Convention Center on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024.

The live demonstration of whole beef butchery will be open to the public from 1PM-5PM. Attendees will enjoy a behind the scenes look at competition butchery. Team USA will break down the familiar (and not so familiar) cuts of beef you enjoy at the dinner table. In a perfect pairing, Spring Dam Brewing will be on site for the event, offering their local craft beers for your enjoyment.

Whether you are an experienced butcher, new to the trade, industry professional, home chef, or just someone who wants to learn more about beef and butchery, this event is for you. Your participation is encouraged to help the United States bring home the Golden Knife at the World Butchers Challenge.

Butchers of America and Team USA have been competing internationally since 2018. It continues to be the goal of Butchers of America to inspire ALL butchers for years to come. Ticket sales benefit the non-profit organization Butchers of America.

General Admission: $20 (1PM) *includes raffle ticket for custom butcher box.

VIP Admission: $75 (12PM) *raffle ticket, knife, first beer, and Q&A session with Team USA.
