The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement provides women with the tools and resources they need to reduce their risk and empowers every woman to live a longer, stronger life.

  • Legends of Rock Productions Presents Rockin' the 70's & 80's

    Everyone at the Blair County Convention Center was saddened to learn of the passing of Sib Hashian on March 22nd while performing with the Rock Legends Cruise.

    We extend our most heartfelt condolences to Sib’s family, friends and to all who loved him.

    As you may be aware, Sib was scheduled to perform at the Blair County Convention Center on Saturday, May 27th along with fellow former Boston member, Barry Goudreau as warm up for the headline entertainment for the evening, Lou Gramm, “The Voice of Foreigner.”

    Warming up for Lou Gramm at the convention center will now be John Elefante who was the lead singer for Kansas from 1981 – 1989 and Kevin Chalfont who had actually replaced Steven Perry as the lead vocalist for Journey for a period of time. Their back up band will be Hybrid Ice. This Pennsylvania based rock group has toured endlessly and plays cover songs as well or better then the originals. Their selections include hits from Boston, Kansas, Styx, Queen, Pink Floyd, The Who, Aerosmith and more. Hybrid Ice has played with The Beach Boys, Toto, Bad Company, Ted Nugent, Hall & Oats, Kansas, Foreigner, 38 Special and many others.

  • Sci-Fi Valley Con

    Sci-Fi Valley Con will be returning to Altoona, Pennsylvania on June 9-11, 2017 at the Blair County Convention Center for our 6th annual science fiction convention.

    Over 6,000 fans traveled from around the Pennsylvania and the surrounding states to attend our even more successful 2016 show. Our convention center has 115,000 square feet of space with over 330+ exhibitors. In 2017, we will be focusing strongly on Workshops and Demos. We want our attendees to watch and interact with builders in our fun and educational Workshops. In addition, we have one of the largest retro video game console rooms with over 35 different home video game systems from their birth to now. We also have a costume contest, charity auction, charity quick sketches, guest panels, film festival, movie cars, guest appearances, and much more!

    We are so proud to have such loyal, amazing followers that help make each show a huge success! The turnout and support from the fans was bigger and better than we even imagined possible.
